What does the Booster Club Do?

The purpose of the Williamsburg Booster Club is to provide all Junior High and High School athletes, cheerleaders, and POMS dancers with the necessary uniforms and equipment that the school activity fund is not able to provide.  The school's fund pays for coach's salaries, transportation, officials, and some minor equipment.

  • Each year the Booster Club provides over $50,000 in support to the school's extra-curricular activities.

  • All Uniforms and any other requested equipment purchases are the responsibility of the booster club.

  • Financial supports all Williamsburg Raider athletic teams with money raised through dues and fundraisers.

  • Supports and encourages all Williamsburg Raider student athletes.

Where does the Booster Club get money to help the athletic organizations?

The Booster Club is funded in 2 ways: Membership and Fundraisers.


Businesses and individuals throughout our community generously sponsor the Booster Club each year to fund Raider athletics by donation to the Booster Club.  Please take a peak at this year's members and thank them for their support!


We also hold multiple fundraisers throughout the year to generate money.  Here are some of the fundraisers we plan to do this year as well as some we've done in the past.

  • Clothing sales

  • Concession stands at athletic events

  • Sports physicals

  • Raider Golf Tournament

  • Youth Basketball tournaments

  • Drive 4 Your School

Ticket sales do not go to the Booster Club.  Ticket sales go to the athletic fund, which is used to pay coach's salaries, umpire/referee costs, and team transportation.

Who should join the Booster Club and become a member?

YOU!  The Booster Club cannot continue to support the Raider athletic teams without the support of parents, grandparents, local businesses, and community members.  Whether you are the parent of a student athlete, enjoy attending high school or junior high events, have younger children who will soon be on Raiders teams, or just like to support the youth of the community - the Booster Club is for YOU!  Without the Booster Club, our student athletes and families would need to front the vast majority of expenses for uniforms and our teams would not have the equipment they need to succeed.

Joining the Booster Club DOES NOT require you to attend any meetings.  The "Membership" is purely a financial donation.  

How do I join the Booster Club and become a Member?

Visit our Join Now page to view the sponsorship levels.  You can pay for your membership online this year.  You can choose to pay for your membership all at one time or to make a monthly contribution and spread your donation out over the year.  If you'd like to pay by check, you can still do that as well. How can I volunteer to help the Booster Club?

WE LOVE VOLUNTEERS!  The Booster Club is able to donate generously to Williamsburg Raider Junior and Senior High School programs because of all of the volunteer hours put in by the Williamsburg community, parents and students.  If you'd like to volunteer, please contact us and we will keep you on a list of people to contact when we need help.  Even just a couple hours of your time throughout the year will help tremendously. Volunteering is usually done through concession stand help, merchandise table help and assisting with events we have throughout the year.  Thank you for considering.

Do I need to go to meetings if I join the Booster Club?

NO!  Joining the Booster Club does not require attending any meetings.  You become a member each year by making a financial contribution to the program to support Raider athletics.

Where can I get Raider clothing and gear?

We do Fall and Winter webstores to sell Raider clothing.  Follow our Facebook page to get notifications when we have stores open.  Typically they are open in August and the end of November.  We order extra gear to inventory and sell at games.  You'll usually find us at 1-2 games selling the apparel.  If you miss us at a game and need to get some gear - Contact Us!

How can I join the Booster Club Board and attend meetings?

The Booster Club meetings are open to the public and new ideas are always needed.  We meet once a month - usually on the 1st or 2nd Wednesday.  If you're interested in coming to a meeting, feel free to contact us to find out when the next one is scheduled.
